writes: Okay me and my girlfriend have known each other for a long time but never really talked to each other, and since we never gone to the same school we've never really seen each other. But latly we have been text messaging each other and it's Been great. I feel very strong for her and she feels the same about me. But now were going to be going to the same school I'm exited exept since all we've done is text I don't know how to talk to her on real life. She called me one time cuz she wanted to hear my voice and I wanted to hear hers. The phone call was awkward and there hardly was any talking. I need help on talking to her can anybody give me tips idk. I don't want to lose her.

hey :-)It's ok, loads of people are a lot shyer talking on the phone, I know I do! Maybe you could pretend it's someone you phone regularly, so you don't get so nervous?As for what you talk about, just chat like you do with text messages. DON'T put on a fake voice to make yourself sound more mature or sophisticated or whatever. That really does not work! After a while I'm sure you'll relax. you're not the only one who feels awkward on the phone. I'm a girl and I still don't like talking on the phone. I'd rather send a text /email regularly than phone but that's just me. but if your gf likes to talk on the phone, then try to make an effort, call her and ask her about the usual stuff (like how are you? how was your day? where shall we go? what are you doing?)
