i was so excited and thrilled with the tiny things he and i were doing with each other without even talkin to one another...so lately my friend just told me randomly that mark and i look good together and here is when i made the mistake saying that we are seeing each other and he is my boyfriend i lied!!!

please dont tell me to tell her the truth she may think i am a retard!!!i just want things to work between me and mark and he really becomes my friend..but how do i go abt it??

brooke5426 agony auntok well I understand why you dont wanna tell her you lied, its great in theory but how mortifying would it be to actually do that?

Don't worry about your friend too much though. You've learned from this and wont do it again which is the important thing. Try asking the guy out, it sounds like he likes you so i'm pretty sure it'll work out well. And you know, the best way to get rid of a lie is to make it the truth.

brooke5426 agony auntThe truth is gonna come out. If she thinks you're with him she's gonna talk to him - she thinks hes her friends boyfriend. or at least she's gonna want to know why you arent spending time together.

One lie leads to another and the longer it goes on the worse it'll be when the truth does come out. If you have just said it once to her then its easy enough to fix. When she mentions it again tell her you were just joking to get her off your case about him and you just said it to shut her up.

As for him, if he's checking you out and staring at you its pretty safe to say he likes you. Hes probably shy so i think you should invite him out somewhere. Just get talking to him about something - anything - then you could mention a party/barbeque/day at the beach your friends have planned and does he wanna come?

Then you have to actually get your friends to plan a party/bbq/day at the beach lol.

take care
