As Boonridge said, you dont..i suspect you have been taken for a ride.Did he know that you considered yourself to be dating him? If so he either played you or is not straight. Have you ever kissed or held hands...how much younger is he? Do you always pay for everything?
This is not a good relationship and you should move on because this guy is telling you he doesnt want to go any further. mal
