Not sure if this is just a phase...

Hi, basically my question is - in a relationship should you be abstaining from damaging actions(eg kissing, messing round, shagging others) or should these thoughts/desires just never enter your "real" brain anyhow?

background:

I'm in a great relationship just gone 6 months, he's lovely without being the "nice guy" you just don't fancy or respect. But... one of my old friends has recently re emerged, I eventually realised I liked this old mate a year or so before he dissappeared off (doesn't fancy girls with my body shape so would never have gone any where) and I still have really strong feelings for him despite hoping I'd gotten over all that. Also I can't stop thinking about messing round a 3rd lad. God this looks so messed up when written down. I do love bf really, just with a little bit less oomph.
