Not seen my boyfriend for 7 months, now he returns all I get is "take care" - is he telling me something?

A female , anonymous writes:

Dear Cupid,

What happens when in a loving relationship the one partner shows more affection than the other, especially when the other partner used to express their feeling so much?

I've found myself in a situation where I feel as though I'm loving too much and not getting that all the way back. for instance my boyfriend came back from New York, his brother went to fetch him from the airport. When He arrived I sent him a message welcoming him home, he hasn't seen his family and myself for almost 7months. I waited for him to send me some form of message, "I miss you can't wait to see you". Instead I get a message saying "I'm back with all family and friends good to chat with everyone. Take Care..."

I'm the one that always ends a text with "I Love You" and I get take care.

I know this might sound silly, but I haven't seen him for 7months and now I will be seeing him, and all I get is a Take CARE?...

Then he doesn't respond anymore? Is he trying to say something?

I hate now that I look like the desperate, loving girlfriend, that hasn't seen her partner for so long, and he seems to be playing with me and it hurts.

What should I do in this situation? I'm hurt and do not want to send anything to him.

Any advice please? Thank you.

Country Woman agony auntYes I think the message 'Take Care' is more like you would say to a friend. If you have had very little contact in the 7 months when he was away as well I would say that he feels like he is no longer in a relationship with you.

The guy is weak and if that is the case then unfortunately you are the one who has been waiting around for him and being the loyal girlfriend. Perhaps he has not been so loyal and as Smeedle says he is just not man enough to say that he is no longer interested in a relationship with you. Pity he didn't say this to you when he was away as you wouldn't have been sitting around for the last 7 months waiting for his return.

Unfortunately when one partner is more loving than the other then things will never change and you don't want to cause yourself any more pain than you have already suffered.

Talk to him over the phone rather than a text and say you need to have some sort of closure so that you can move on as it is the least you deserve.

Good luck and bfn.

smeedle agony auntHe has told you without words that he is just not interested in a full on relationship with you now.

He is slowly dumping you and he is just not man enough to tell you.

This is not the way to treat a partner.

Tell him you want to see him and talk to him, tell him that if it is over just say!!
