I do have a bit of a crush on him so yesterday I made the text a little flirtier...not overboard, but just a little. I did it in a way that if he was interested he would pick up on it, but if not it just seemed friendly. He never responded. Today I send him another text, it was more of a joke text that I sent to some other friends/ coworkers. Not a lame fwd, but something funny and NO flirtiness whatsoever. He usually always responds and usually w/in 5 mins. Why might he be doing this? Also, I need to call him tomorrow to remind him of something he asked me months ago to make sure he didn't forget tomorrow, but if he hasn't responded or initiated any contact by then I don't want to call and see pushy and desperate. Ideas?

I'd say he likes you too, but he is unsure if you was being serious with the flirty txt. Ring him tomorrow like planned she how the conversation is with him,if its cagey then maybe he is shy about the txt, or he could have taken offence by it, but if I was in your situation I would confront the matter even if he said I didn't think we was like that, then say hey sorry didn't mean it, we still friends and carry on, but I think he has a crush on you. Ask him out for a dink or something see what he says that's if you want it more than friends which I think you do. Good luck with it but I think you will be in for a nice surprise

My guess is that he is interested in you. Men rarely befriend women who they are not interested in. He is probably wondering if you are serious or joking.
