This is something I've experienced a few times, especially in sensitive areas or where hair might be growing back. This also happens sometimes if the newer tattoo gets too much sun. Don't forget that even if a tatoo is a few months old, it's stillfresh skin technically. Just keep them clean and put a little SPF45 on them if you are outside, and if it gets painful or worse then see a doctor. xxxxxxxx

hi, i have several tattoos, you might not of known but the ink which makes up your tattoo never dries under the skin, it always stays as a liquid. Many things can casue a tattoo to become sensitive, sunbeds, using different lotions, If it persists then i would advise you to go to a taooist and ask for advice. Tattooed skin is more serceptible to sensitivity.

Before you go to a doctor, I'd go to the tattoo place. Any tattoo place will do, just go in and ask them if it's normal. Mine is sort of puffed up a little bit. I have an outline of a heart and if you run your fingers over it, you can definitely feel it. It's risen above my skin line... like a scar, sort of.
So yeah, just go ahead into a tattoo parlour and ask them about your tattoo and if it's normal. They'll definitely be able to give you a straight answer.

its common to have a rash a few days after youve had the tattoo done as the tattooist usually shaves the area first but im not entirely sure on months later. I would best advice you to go and see a doctor as i have never heard of this happening before, or even pop into a tattoo parlor and get them to answer yuor question, they should know more about it. Hope it helps x
