 This is tricky, as I'm sure you want your mother to be happy, but you must talk to her alone about how you feel. It may be hard for her to hear, and for you to say, but it's got to be said. Did the two of you fall out when the relationship started?
Just ask your mother if she could discuss it with him, or if he feels like you aren't trying hard enough to get along.
