You already have pretty good self confidence-which is awesome! I'm sure you are a very beautiful young lady. I use to hate smiling too (I still do sometimes) because once in high school, my boyfriend at the time's brother called me "Shark Teeth" because I have too much gums and my teeth are small. During pictures I would smile with my mouth tightly sealed so no one can see my tiny teeth. Until I decided that I wasn't so bad looking and decided to deal with my issue. I began practicing my smile in the mirror, trying out different smiles and facial expressions to compensate for my crumby teeth. I got use to the adjustment of my new smiling technique and finally after all these years, a guy that I had been close friends with noticed my true smile by accident (I laughed showing my teeth and forgot to hide it), he said that I had the nicest smile he had seen in a long time. And it wasn't because of my gummy smile, but because he noticed my EYES "smile" when I do...
Point I'm making is this, don't assume people will judge you because of how YOU see yourself, because that's not what people think. People may notice your teeth at first glance but then they begin to take notice of the real you-your intelligence, your beautiful face, your hair, your cute outfits, etc. Don't sell yourself short when you have a lot to offer.
