Anyways, my older sister happened to be babysitting this 8 year old boy (which she's been doing for the entire year already) and she lives in another country. Anyways, she had just finished putting him to bed one night and she went down stairs to the basement (four flights of stairs) and then goes to the washroom. All of sudden there's a knock at the washroom door, and she hears the little boy call out MY name twice. (And no my sister was 100% not dreaming at all.)So she opens the door, and asks him what he called her, and he says it again. And my sister's like, "That's not my name sweetie." And he's like, "Oh right (insert my sister's name)I just made a mistake."Here's the creepy part. My sister asks him if he even knows anyone by the name of (insert my name) and he says no. She starts to get really creeped out, because not only does he not know anyone by my name, and they're in another country--so I have NO idea who this little boy is, but it also just happened to be my sister babysitting who is obviously familiar with that name, because I'm her BABY sister. Anyways, we were trying to figure out how he could have possibly said my name, out of all the many names in the world, and it just happened to be mine. Do you think it has anything to do with paranormal stuff? She also told me the time he had said my name..and I happened to be doing nothing in particular. ...I'm a little scared...? ok every one is telling you the same thang with only a little deferince so here is a comment from a teen boy who use to be a 8 yearold boy ten years ago.ok here it is it is yes mabe your sister was talking to you one night when he was around but you need to talk to your sister and ask her if she has ever said your name when babysitting him and that will tall you how you need to handle it.....and you may need to tell his mom and dad ..let us know what happens .

It's also possible your sister has mentioned you in front of him or talked to you on the phone while babysitting and he just picked up on it.
Kids pick up on EVERYTHING, they remember everything they see and hear but not where they saw it or where they heard it. Now if she's been looking after him for a year, it is completely impossible that he's never heard your name before.
And up out of bed half asleep your name came up.
It's nothing weird or paranormal, just a cool trick of the subconscious. Like the way we can dream about a person we haven't seen in a long time then see that very day after our dream.

And, no my sister isn't the type of person to pull pranks. But, I was very very very upset about a boy on friday night, and I was crying-and that's around the time the little boy said my name. So I think it's something more marvelous than scary. (The thing is, he said he knew no one by my name. And it's not like he's five and can't remember--he's eight.) I just found it very peculiar.

a couple of theories:
your sister is making a practical joke on you because you're gullible
it was just a coincidence/accident, which can happen with common names, forgetting babysitters names is easy to do..
maybe she had been talking about her family (ie you) and he either got confused or misspoke.
Granted, I don't believe in ghosts. But you guys are turning something odd into something that you're scared about, there's no reason to be in fear of a child that doesn't even live in your country, or in fear for your your sister, this episode just sounds like a mistake rather than some kind of...evil spirit type situation.
