My periods are irregular, is this normal?

Im 13 as of June 10 and i've had my period since i was nine. it was never really normal, and i've went to doctors and stuff.They put me on the pill but that made me sick so they put me on the patch and it still didn't help me. The doctors say my organs appear to be normal and i've had cat scans and autopsies. the only thing they saw was a popped sist. and im worried because i dnt have my period for 3-6 months at a time i don't know if that's ok or normal or what

some good advice here.. i agree, i started my period when i was 13 im now 16 and they only come when ever they feel like it, [lexilou] good luck to your daughter for today :D i had my prom on the 16th may and i got my period on my prom day, first time i used a tampon lol. but hey dont worry about ya period. theyll sort their selves out :D xx

It's perfectly normal. I have the same problem, I have poly cystic ovarian syndrome. Have you been tested for that? Honestly, you're so young that having your period irregularly may not be a big deal. It may regulate itself as you get older and your hormones even out. Unless you're in a lot of pain when they do come I wouldn't worry about it.

lexilou agony auntMy daughter was 10 bless her when she started and has never been regular. She is now 16. She can go up to 6 months but more often its around 6 or 7 weeks and then its really heavy. She is going on the pill to regulate them and make them ligther but I have made her wait until she turned 16 so she is not on the pill forever.

She has her prom today, its a relatively new thing here in uk and they have it when they leave secondary school to go to college at 16. She has been waiting for her period for weeks and praying it would come before. It didnt. I just

KNOW its going to come today!!!!!!

my periodes used to be that way as well never normale. butim on the pill now so its never like that now. so ur sayin ur on the pill and its doing this? well have u been more active or stressed? u know alot of things can affect that
