A female Australia age 36-40, anonymous writes:

This might seem silly (and embarressing)

but

I usually have really heavy periods, and not much discharge.

But my last period was late and really light. and the amount of discharged has increased.

I can't be pregnant, because the last encounter I had didn't involve sex.

Any ideas?

A reader, anonymous, writes (25 March 2008):

Sometimes our bodies do this, just kind of a way of our bodies cleaning. Depending on how the discharge is this could also be thrush? Though I don't think that it affects periods..

Also if you've had a drastic change in diet, like you've stopped eating or aren't eating as much then that affects it too.

Just some ideas..

xx Hope xx
