I'm a 23 year old woman, have slept with three guys in the past, including the guy I am currently dating (we've been together for two years and seven months now). I've never taken birth control and probably never will. This is the weird part, though: most of my friends say that I'm just way too damn lucky when it comes to this. My periods are always (I mean ALWAYS) three days long with absolutely no cramps and my flow is pretty light. They never miss a beat by being exactly five weeks and a half weeks apart, either. I don't know why any of that is, but I'm wondering if it's normal? I mean, most of my friends have some pretty crippling cramps and their periods last upwards of 6-8 days. One of my friends has a two year old and a one year old and she tells me her periods make her miss work sometimes because the cramps become that overwhelming. I'm just wondering if my periods are, in fact, normal?

They certainly could be normal.
But, it might be worth examining whether you are getting sufficient iron in your diet.
Iron makes blood.
No wonder then that the majority of the top ten producing food stuffs have a proportion of blood in them.
One in five women is iron deficient.
