I really dont know what to do!!!

It's not a relationship question but I'm proper panicking. I started smoking a few week ago with my friends when out and about and hanging out and I think I have become addicted. I am trying to stop and for it not to become a habit but one of my friends has found out and told her mum!!

Her mum talks to my mum cos they are quite good friends and I know she will tell!! What can I do!!

I'm sooo dreading my mum killing me!! she will go mad!!

I know it's my fault for starting but I really am scared now!

I have just thrown the cigs away but I'm still panicking. My heart's beating really fast and I can't stop thinking about it. I know it sounds really really stupid but I honestly know she hates smokers and would go mental!!

Help someone please!!

TasteofIndia agony auntHi sweetness,

Let me tell you... I was just about your age when I smoked my first cigarette because of my friends. I should have stopped then, like I STRONGLY suggest you do. I kept it a secret for a long time, even though I would only smoke occasionally. Well, it got into a little bit of a habit, and as time progressed, it got worse and worse.

I've been clean for awhile now, but it was been a back and forth battle. You NEED to quit now, sweetness. Your Mom is right for not approving of smokers and their habit. It's a nasty habit! I promise you, if you keep it up, no matter how much gum you chew or perfume you put on, eventually your Mom is going to smell it on you. The smell of tobacco lingers.

Not to mention, smoking can severely damage your eggs, so if you're planning to have children in your later life, I'd put down those cigarettes.

Smoking is so hard to quit. Do it NOW. You'll thank yourself to the moon in the future.

What helped me was popcorn. Whenever I wanted to smoke a cigarette, I would eat popcorn, one kernel at a time. It gave me something to do with my hands.

If your Mother gets mad, it's because she's a Mom and cares about you and your health. If you quit now, I promise, she'll be a lot less angry!!

It's hard but worth it. You're worth it!

GOOD LUCK, SWEETNESS!!!

AskEve agony auntYOU STOP... kick the habit, that way when your mom confronts you, you can honestly say you did try it but it tasted disgusting so you've stopped. Smoking is disgusting and a total waste of money and good health. Put your mind to it, buy a mint to suck on or chewing gum. You've not been on it too long so it won't be too difficult. Keep thinking about what smoking does to you, your health, the smell that lingers on your hair, clothes etc and what you could buy for yourself if you were to put that money away. Only YOU can stop... and you can if you really put your mind to it.

You're smart, I know you can to it! ;o)
