We were talking about how my cousins relationship is on the rocks with his fiancé and my mom just said it. I can never look at either of them the same. What can I do? Also I just needed to say it out loud...or type it. It feels good to let it out. I'm horrified too.

Did your mom say why she had sex with your cousin? I wonder if she might have made the first move. Many women fantasize about having sex with younger men because they like the feel of the younger man's body, and because younger men have sexual stamina. Like another poster said, there isn't much you can do about it, other than talk to your mom some more and find out if she plans to continue having sex with your cousin, if they plan on having a long-term relationship, or if this is more like a friends-with-benefits type of thing.

 It is easy to understand why you feel awkward. It's not easy to receive this kind of news, and to understand what it implies. I'm afraid, however, that there is nothing you can do. You can respond to this situation, but only you can choose how.Maybe your mother said that to let some steam off. But maybe she said it to test your reaction to it. I cannot know.I'm afraid that more trouble is brewing. Try not to let that affect how you function.
