How should I approach this situation?

I'm 21 and live with my mother and brother(who is older) we all work and go to school. I have a long distance boyfriend, and he says he wants to come and try to spend more time with me...so he want to come and work here for 6 months , since we have a spare room, my bf asked if my mom would be okay with him living here with us and paying rent! I know my mom would love someone else paying rent...but she doesnt want us to "disrespect" her house...and I wouldnt do anything like that here in my house...so how can I approach her and ask her if its okay for him to live here with us temporarily..he would pay his rent food and transportation...what do you think? how should I ask her?

Thank you!!!
