My life is full of bad stuff. What can I do to make it better?

A female Singapore age 36-40, anonymous writes:

Hi, I'm 13 (account age is wrong) and I just started high school. I think my life is just crashing down on me and I think I really need help.

Well basically, life at home is no better either. I'm embarrassed to say that my sister is possibly mad and she sometimes goes around the house wearing nothing at all.

On top of that, she doesn't seem to have a goal in life at all and she expects my parents to spoon feed her until they pass on or something. I'm particularly irritated with this behaviour of hers because I hate people who give up on life and depend on others for survival.

In school, my math teacher picks on me and I don't even know why. I hate him for that. He keeps scolding me for no reason whatsoever. Like the other day, I was looking for my friend who was supposed to sit next to me for group work and he accused me of rolling my eyes at him.

Also, I'm the type of person who gets angry really easily so I have this habit of being silent when I'm angry because I'm afraid I'd say something I'd regret. So the other day when he scolded me, I just kept quiet and he shouted at me for that.

He also talks to me alot in class and likes to linger around my table and it's so annoying because he accuses me of making a mistake in the working before I even do anything and he wants me to explain everything to him before I write anything down!

Then there's also this guy who is in his 4th year(the school system here is a little different from the American school system) who I have a crush on and I really can't get him out of my mind.

I envy my other friends who have happy families, don't get picked on by teachers and have boyfriends.

Thank you for reading this, any advice I can get is appreciated. Thanks again =D

To justwondering, thank you for the advice on the teacher. The thing is that me and my friends smile during his class trying to be positive about the whole thing(Note: he picks on my friend too) but he takes the whole smiling thing as another reason to yell at us because he will demand something like "WHATS SO FUNNY?" and then make us stand or something. So I try to do something neutral like nodding and taking notes. I agree with Niki20, maybe I will talk to my homeroom teacher or something like that.

Thanks to the both of you, I've already figured out what I should do when I get to school on Tuesday(Cos I'm currently on Medical leave. Don't worry, it's just a minor bone crack and I'm not allowed to go to school until I see the specialist.)

To Niki20, THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

I love your advice and when I read what you said about other families having quirks "behind closed doors" I felt so much better.

I'll try my best to ignore the teacher and maybe I'll talk to the boy.

Once again, THANK YOU VERY MUCH! 333

niki20 agony auntok.... your family is normal...i know a lot of people like that here, i call on my mom ever second i can. have you ever seen your friends family "behind closed doors?" they probably have quirks to. being naked is very natural and soothing, your sister probably doesnt understand that people dont always like to see her walking around naked and she probably doesnt care either, tell her how you feel. as for the math teacher he just seems like a jerk. the boy, talk to him, let him know you like him, even though you can just flirt.
