hey. i know how you feel and i left school 9 years ago! it is frustrating feeling like there's nothing to do but i do agree with anonymous up there. young teenagers do get restless and tend to find everything bores them. it may just be a phase. but i'd like to ask you, do you have a group of friends? a couple of good mates you could just hang out with somewhere, go to a local youth club or something? i know it's hard. where i live they have only just decided to give us any kind of community facilities. most people my age round here have been in prison simply because they have been bored. maybe you could set up a project yourself. get a few mates together and think of stuff you could do as a group.

The reason I'm asking is if you're still in High School (or middle) it could just be a general restlessness with life, you're ALMOST an adult and everyone goes through a period of questioning what life is and what things will be like, although there isn't much you can do at that point in time except to stay busy through after-school programs, clubs, sports etc. Or you can volunteer your time (See more on this below.)
If you're in college or a trade-school, there's a similar feeling of restlessness. Here you're going to school to get a degree in order to DO something with your life, and yet you aren't DOING whatever it is NOW. There are some simple things you can do (in my opinion) to really feel as if you're doing something beneficial with your life. You can volunteer. No matter where you are in the world, there is always someplace that could use your time and help! You can decide where and how to volunteer in two ways. The first is to pick something similar to your field of study (this will also give you experience, and something to add to your resume, beyond the satisfaction of helping!) For example, if you're going into a computer, math, science, or even artistic field, you could volunteer your time tutoring other students. If you're going into a "helping others" type of field (I.E. doctor, nurse, vetrinarian etc.) you could volunteer your time at an animal shelter or hospital. There are also plenty of youth groups, and homeless soup kitchens etc. that are always short staffed. Or you could just do something that is fun for you, that doesn't necessarily coinside with your profession of choice. If you like reading you can volunteer to read to children (or adults) at your local library, you could join the big brother big sisters club and just hang out with a child who needs a role model in thier life etc. You could also join some sort of spiritual group, or health club. If you choose a combination of bettering the inner you (physically, mentally or spiritually) as well as making an effort to help those around you, It should really give you a sense of accomplishment, and you'll have a lot of fun doing it!
