I have a friend whose husband is acting like I hurt his feelings. Should I confront him or not? How would I approach it? Is communication the best way or not? Please give me some advice. I consider him a friend also, and I do feel badly if I did something to offend him.

A female reader, Jmo United States +, writes (13 January 2009):

Jmo agony auntWhy do think you hurt his feelings? Did you do or say something hurtful? If not, ASK him if you did something to offend him. If you just ignore it and you consider him a friend, he might start to become more standoffish and the static between the two of you will only grow worse. (I don't want to put thoughts in your head, but is there a possibility that maybe your friend said something messed up about you to him?) Maybe you could ask your friend if she knows why her husband is acting this way.
