Question - (7 November 2009) 1 Answers - (Newest, 7 October 2012)
A female Australia age 41-50, *oveiscare writes:

I have never been a controlling person but with my current husband i cant stop doing it. when i dont know where he is at it eats me up. he is flirtacious and does it in front of me. I feel like he feeds off of my jealousy and never stops to think he should be flirting with me and not other lady's. I hate myself right now because this situation is consuming me and i cant belive the person that i have become. I have caught him sending texts, and also e-mails to other women about sex and he says that they are planted to see if i am looking through his phone. I dont want to be this way anymore and i dont want to lose him but i dont know that both are possible. does anyone have any suggestions ?

A female reader, anonymous, writes (7 October 2012):

Yes i understand you, as my husband does the same. We cant even do the grocery shopping without him engaging eye contact with woman, and smiling. I make me feel like a fool, and has has had an very bad effect on my self esteem.

He says he is just being friendly.

My husband is a flirt, and has all his ex girlfriends numbers in his phone still.

He says im dillusional, and that something is wrong with me.

He goes out alot with his mates, cards nights etc, and has recently arranged to go out with another work mate, much younger, and clearly Im not invited.

Im finding it hard to trust my husband. Married one year, known him for 8 years.

Im losing my self esteem and he gets angry if i CALMLY mention my feeelings.

Good luck to you, as Im losing my mind...
