writes:Here is some background. My husband and I have been together for 17 years and married for 12 of those years.He is still emotionally attached to his first girlfriend. When they dated 22 years ago, he was 16 and she was 14. I am so hurt that he is STILL emotionally attached to her. He had made an effort to be a better husband, because we have been having marriage issues, but how can I go on knowing this?Any help on this would be good! Thank you!

In what way is he still attached to her.
I mean I have fond memories of my first boyfriend. I have tons of memories of good times with former partners… including ex husbands…. But that does not mean I’m attached to them
How is he emotionally attached to her still?
