At school even in the summer when its baking hot i keep my blazer on because i dont want anyone to see. I never go out in public with a t-shirt on. You may tell me to ask my parents for advice but i know they wont understand. My mum keeps telling me its a part of who i am but that doesnt resolve the problem. All i want is to be normal like every other person. Everytime i look at them i want to cry with embarresment i dont know how anyone could love me. Help and bare in mind that i am only 13 so waxing is not a option . Please help. Also i would like to know how boys feel about a girl with really hairy arms.X Reply to this Question Share |

Oh i'm a guy and i LOVE hairy arms on women. It's the third thing, physically, i look for in a gal, right after her face and boobs. You'd be immensely surprised at the amount of men that think it's the sexiest thing going. I'm not even close to kidding...honestly. Keep your hairy arms they're sexy as hell.

Like others, I am mystified as to why you can't wax, but as has already been suggested, depilatory creams are easy to obtain and use - Veet, Nair, etc.
But, why not Google "Sugar waxing"? Very many entries for you there, and this one in particular is a DIY solution:-

The benefits of the sugar method are much lower temperatures than hot waxing but still as effective, and lower pain levels - and only sugar to buy!
You can also use it - ahem - elsewhere..........

I don't understand... why can't you wax?
I'm sure your parents would allow you to go to a salon and get it waxed if you told them how much it bothers you.
Get it done at a salon, though, if you go that route.
We all have physical imperfections; this is really no big deal. Of course someone could be attracted to you.

For what it's worth, I don't really care how hairy a girl is. If I like her, I like her, plain and simple. I've dated girls who were hairier than me. It never bothered me. All that little image stuff that many girls dwell on and hate about themselves is really inconsequential to many men. Just be yourself. It's easy to point to a minor imperfection as the source of all your problems, but that is rarely the case.

If you don't want to go that route and can tolerate a little discomfort, buy some medical tape and wrap that around sections of each arm and pull it off quickly to remove the hair, root and all. Over time you will reduce the folical count and have less noticeable arm hair.

if u really want to get rid of it DONT SHAVE IT! i tried that when i was in primary and it grew back even darker. it's gone normal again now but everyone kept asking me why i had stubbly arms :L
you could try bleaching it, but if you have dark skin it might look abit weird. and waxing would kill so dont try that either.
personally, i would just feel proud about it. i used to get really embaressed about leg hair, but my boyfriend actually likes it and thinks its natural and much better than stubble.
but just because your mum and me have the same opinion, its still your body, and you should do whatever you feel happy with .
x x hope that helped

You can do it yourself with some of those Veet wax strips you can buy in Boots, Superdrug, Tesco, lots of places. They are about £4.50 for 20 strips, and a box will last you a long time. Go ahead and try using them to wax your arms, I don't see that your age should stop you doing that?
Incidentally I have a wonderful fiance who doesn't care about my hairy arms....he loves me for who I am.I am a bit older now though, so I know how difficult it is at your age. Try waxing, you will be pleased with the results.
