If someone tries to make me jealous to pay them more attention it has the opposite effect with me and then I dont want to be with them anymore at all. Is anyone else like this?

Of course, everyone is. Whoever told him how to keep his wife, lied. He will lose you if he doesn't stop. Who wants to get close to a person that seems to want to put them down, make them unsure or unhappy? I suppose he needs to be told, but often the behaviour is so ingrained that they can not change.

If he bullies you, don't you think it's time to get a divorce?
How can you remain married to someone that makes you "cringe?"
Others that I've know would divorce such a spouse. I personally do not tolerate bullying under any circumstances.
I would leave him in a skinny-minute!
