writes: help me please!!!!this morning my grandma and aunt asked to go shopping for sandals for my grandma, but i was so tired i refused they kept forcing me to go, but i had 2 refuse my body was so freakin' exhausted, then all of a sudden my grandma starts exaggerating how i didn't care for her and that i'd just let her die and then she starts telling me how much of an ungrateful granddaughter i amwhen in fact she barely treats me as a granddaughter at all...tells me how i'm just like my bastard father... what should i do?? should i have stood my ground and let her insult like me that?

reader, anonymous, writes (16 December 2008): HiSorry you listened to words like that but i would try and take no notice. You haven't said how old she is..sometimes the elderly have a bit of dementia and don't always know what they are saying...it can also be illness..or just plain ignorance. Tell your mum or a close family member but please don't hold onto the words, or feel guilty.
