A female United States age 36-40, anonymous writes:

My Grandma is a single 60+ year old woman and having alittle trouble finding love. Me and Mother is trying to do everything we can to set her up with dates, but they don't go so well. Etheir they are younger and trying to take avantage of her, or they are to old.

We are about to give up, we want to see her happy.

Are 60+ seniors of the market? Please give us some advice on senior dating.

Does she have a computer? There are sites out there for seniors. I met my guy on Seniorpeoplemeet.com. There are alot of jerks but there are alot of really nice guys too! And even if she doesn't meet the love of her life, she may enjoy the conversations! I had a blast! As I said, there are some jerks too! I had one guy in my area who wanted me to come over and chain him in his basement. Needless to say, I deleted him!!!! Usually you can spot the perves right away. They will start talking about sex immediately. My guy and I talked for over three months before the subject ever came up! That's what attracted me to him! And he truly is the love of my life. I am happier than I have ever been! (He is 62, I am 58)

I wish Grandma Luck and Happiness!

DoubleM agony auntI'm available at 61. LOL

But I'm still trying to figure out the senior single scene myself. So far, after a 20 year marriage that dissolved several years ago, I've been very fortunate to stay fairly busy, but geezers do not require quite as much activity as during former years. My personal success has primarily been a result of online dating. It seems that mature women are much more likely to prowl online that at the local beer bar or dance club. And I rarely have that much energy myself anymore. To answer you question, yes, there are plenty of seniors available - the problem is putting us together. The internet has worked well for me.
