writes: My girlfriend keeps becoming jealous of a girl that I had a crush on. I previously had a crush on a girl for a span of about a year. My girlfriend used to be "best friends" with this girl that I had a crush on. My girlfriend and my ex-crush, plus another girl where like a group of best friends. The link to the whole group was the other girl, who I will call Beverly (not real name). Beverly's personality is very stubborn, negative, pessimistic, and just down. My ex-crush, who I will call Ciara, got sick of Beverly. Ciara broke off from the group. My girlfriend and Ciara broke off ties too because the link they had to each other was through Beverly. Otherwise, they would not be really best friends. In essence, the best friends was just a label for the group. But anyways, Ciara was messing with me all along. She constantly attempts to multiple guys at once, without each guy knowing the complete story. I was one of the guys. I got over Ciara after finding out about it. My girlfriend constantly compares and links what I say about her to Ciara. When I talk to my girlfriend, I am talking about her, not Ciara. But my girlfriend, I guess, gets jealous. I want my girlfriend to stop linking us together. It creates a rift in our relationship. I never even think about Ciara, until my girlfriend links us together somehow. What do I do?
