My girlfriend doesn't show me any affection. We've dated for 6 months and I've mentioned it many times. However I have yet to notice any difference. She doesn't kiss me, I have to kiss her, she doesn't want to hug me I have to hug her, she doesn't like to hold my hand and she hardly every complements me. She says that her defenition of affection is the two of us sitting on the couch wathcing TV together, or just spending time together, but is it too much to ask for just a simple kiss on the check or something just because?

I'm not saying I'm sappy but everyone needs to know there loved every once in a while and it just seems like shes taking the time we spend for granted.

Is there something that I can do or am I just stupid to ask for things like that from her?

Us girls get bored after awhile and usually we withdraw emotionally after awhile but if she's always been this way maybe you just have to hold her and not wait till she decides to kiss you.

I mean I have the same problem, im not a loving person you know hugging is awkward with me kissing is never started by me and holding hands makes me feel unconfortable.

It's just the way I was raised wasn't you know that kind of love. It was being around just when needed.

You can either take her as she is or move on.

Good luck

it takes some time to get used to. She might be shy, just like me. She might get embarrassed. I was like ur girlfriend when i started my relationship, but now im slowly opening up to my boyfriend.
