Two suggestions:
1] How can you be so sure it is not worth asking her ? She must have some thoughts / fantasies when she masturbates so you could ask her ( I would suggest a good moment to whisper that question would be while you are maybe half way through classic penis-in-vagina activity - ie she'll be aroused and less caring about embarrassment - );
