You got to choose who you want and not your friends choose for you.
If your friends cannot accept your choice, so be it.
Your friends should respect your choice .You know what is best for yourself.

True true! It's your (love) life and they can't decide who you like or don't like. All they can do is to introduce someone they like that maybe you'd also like. Tell them that you can't force yourself into liking or loving someone that you simply don't. IF they are your friends, this'll just blow over and it won't be much of a big deal. Hope this won't bother you too much. Gluck!

its not your friends who are dating him its you. they need to understand that you cant stay with him and be unhappy just for him! if you want to break up with this guy, then do it, dont not do it to make others happy. if they have a problem with it, they'll get over it! as for this other guy - is there any particualr reason why they dont like him? does he treat you well? if so then go for it, but just make sure he respects you.
