After, it seemed like we were friends, he then suddenly quits the job. Now he won't answer me and I sent him a text saying how sorry I am that things didn't work out at work and that we should hang out, but still nothing.Should I just let it go? He is really cool and I loved working with him and talking to him. I don't know why I care so much but it's driving me crazy. I feel like I lost a friend.

I agree with YouWish. Something traumatic may have happened. Do you know any of his family or friends to find out if he is OK? Just give it time. I think you'll eventually hear from him when he is in a better frame of mind.

I'm guessing his life took a turn for the worse. I wouldn't take it personally if I were you.
