But i have this one friend who i used to be really close too and now i can't be becuase i'm busy every day!! But when we're out, i'll be stood next to my boyfriend and we'll be chatting about something and then she'll come and stand in between and start talking to me. When i tell her that she just interuped but just shrugs and carries on. It really gets on my nerves. How can i tell to stop it without being up-front and without falling out?? Your friend may feel like she's competing for your attention, do try and arrange time for her or when in a big group make sure you talk with her alot rather than briefly.
You can try to sit, walk holding hands, wrapping arms around the boyfriend etc to create a physical barrier so she can't barge inbetween you guys.
You mustn't let her shrug everytime you tell her she's interrupting. You need to keep reaffirming it in a serious tone. Using a rather jokey approach leads her to think she can do whatever. Try telling her "Hold on, me and [boyfriend] were in the middle of something, let me get back to you" then quickly resume your conversation....
Things like that to gently let her know her she should wait instead of interrupting
Make sure you DO get back to her though!
