writes: my friend has had the 6 months from hell. seriously. her mum died in a car accident last October, then her dad died from prostate cancer in December, after her Dad's funeral she went round to a friends house where they got into a big arguement. He was on drugs and somehow she ended up being stabbed repeatedly. Then a few nights ago she was at the dock with some friends drinking and just being silly. one of the girls dropped her purse so she bent down to pick it up and when she stood back up again she smacked her head really hard off the wooden beam, fell in the water and drowned. I don't know how to help my friend at all. She keeps saying that her life is cruel and she cant take anymore pain and that God is picking on her. any ideas of what i could do or say to help?

Get her to watch a movie called "The Secret." It will build her up and help her regain her confidence again. You watch it with her. I will give you the link, it costs $4.99 (£2.50) to watch but is worth every penny. It will make her see her life in a whole different perspective. I think it's exactly what she needs right now! Here is the link to the movie.

theres nothing you can do, you cant bring her loved ones back to life but all you can do is assure her that you are there if she needs to chat and you need to assure her that she can only have a better life from now on. YOU are there for her and thats all that matters now im sure other people are there for her too so she hasnt got nobody. just make sure you stay by her side throough thick and thin.
