Well your friends are being very selfish and childish. If you love him dearly, then think about him every time you feel like a smoke. I am sure you would regret losing him over a 3 minute craving.

reader, anonymous, writes (20 September 2006): Quitting smoking isn't just about avoiding fags, but also avoiding situations where you know they'll be around and you might end up with one in your mouth. You should tell your friends about your promise so they'll know better than to light up in front of you in your vulnerable state. Similarly, dodge any bars or restaurants where people will be smoking.
All that said - if that's really and truly the ONLY time you slipped up, I think you can keep it to yourself as long as you keep up this streak from now on.

Smoking - you just got to go cold turkey for awhile. My dad forced himself to stop one day after smoking for about 30 years. Try this link - or just do a search on Google:
