 Do you really need a explanation for this? The bottom line is that you two are separated officially for 3 months, BUT how long ago during your relationship with him, was his heart already removing itself from you? It could well have been 6 months ago, 12 months ago, maybe even possibly 2 years ago. Just because you separated 3 months ago, doesn't mean he was in love with you 3 months and 1 day ago. Make sense?
