My ex reappeared after telling me to back off, only to leave when I asked questions!

My ex kicked me out of our home 6 weeks ago, but after a week gave the impression he wanted to work on things we saw each other, and slept together, only for 2 weeks later to turn around and tell me he didnt know his feelings anymore.In that time I have found my self a house and started a new university year, and begun to slowly get on with my life. He is aware i still love him but I have very much kept my distance due to his behaviour He turned up today afte reading my social networking site that i was struggling to get my wireless network working. He arrived with dinner, and we sat and ate and talked small talk while he fixed my network. After a while I decided to broach the subject of us, and asked him if the way he was acting now meant he felt we should just be friends from now on. When I asked he put his head down and looked panicked, said he hadnt even thought about the subject yet and quickly made excuses and left.
