This is the second time that this has happened, and the last time he tried to break us up by telling me lies about my boyfriend, like he's going to break up with me or something. I've told him to stop, but he claims that he's just telling the truth. I'm not sure if he's going to do it again, but I think that if he really liked me, he'd want me to be happy. Should I just avoid him all together (i.e. blocking him on IM, ignoring him at school, etc.)? What should I do?

I would avoid this boy, he likes you and will do anything he can think of which might make you like him.
Explain to him in a polite way that you don't like him and you don't really care what he has to say about your boyfriend and for him not to try to contact you. Then i would block him.
Do you really want to speak to someone who is saying things about your boyfriend who you love and care about? Block him and avoid contact with this guy, he likes you and just wants to cause trouble.
