I work in a small store so it's usually difficult to avoid him. Aside from that we've just been in touch occasionally via text or online chats. We haven't been together long but are still unhappy with separating. I don't mind him coming over to pick up some stuff of his, but I dislike the idea that he's gonna rush off home. How do I handle his visit? Should he rush off home? Also, do I remain friends with him? Please advice.

If you are going to be his friend than start a conversation with him. Sometimes being just friends after a break is hard but it can happen. Just be polite and choose a topic and talk.

Sweetie,if you don't like him as more than a friend then you shouldn't be upset over the break up.If you want him to stay and chat for a bit then ask him too.Have some coffee or some lunch together.Just don't act nervous and don't be mean.Be sweet and polite. If you want to be friends with him then sure,go for it.Theres no reason not too.Just because you guys broke up doesn't mean you can't be friends or hang out still.I hope everything goes well.If you need anything just let me know.
Love and kisses,
