A doctor should NEVER get attached to any of his patients apart from treating them. If you both are attracted to one another and you are both single then you need to change your doctor immediately. If he were to go out with you and you were his patient he could get into serious trouble and even get struck off as a doctor. If he IS truly interested in you then change your doctor before either of you get involved.

It's not illegal, but it is unethical. What that means is he would be under scrutiny from his medical associations if he were to be involved with a patient. If you know for sure that he would welcome your attention, you should ask him directly if he wants to pursue a relationship outside of his office. Tell him that you will be willing to change Doctors so that he will be free to date you.
