I think stress can have a profound effect on your fertility. You should look at your whole lifestyle during this pre-baby stage. Alcohol, smoking, diet, exercise etc all need to be evaluated for the future health of yourself and your baby. As for depression, I suggest that you seek treatment before you get pregnant. Basically prenatal depression is a huge predictor of postnatal depression - although a baby can be a great thing, it is also a time when you can struggle emotionally. Therefore try to seek treatment now - medication, cognitive behavioural therapy or anything else that works for you.
