She has been with her boyfriend for just over a year now and I know they are both ready to and she wants to, he is not forcing her, it's just as a parent I'm sure you all know what it's like... But she said she was going to get the implant anyway and have sex whether I liked it or not. I was just wondering is it possible to get the implant in the UK without parental consent? Her father passed away so he couldn't give it to her... Thank you. Reply to this Question Share |

I'm sorry to inform you but you can get the implant when your 14 without parental consent as the doctors cannot tell anyone without the patients consent.
I am 14 and have slept with my boyfriend behind my mums back and there have been times when i have regreted it even though i've been with him for years and we were both ready as he is older than me. My friend also went behind her mums back but she was unfortunate enough to get pregnant even though she used two types of birth control and now she is stuck with a baby which has messed up the chance of her getting any good GCSE's. Please talk to your daughter about the consequences of birth contol going wrong because nothing is 100% safe.
Teenage girls are hard to talk to about this subject because we think we are always right but please try and explain that you are not happy about this and why your not happy about it.
I hope all goes well.

usually anyone under the age is able to get birth control in doctors with out parental permission if the child seems mature or responsible enough
as well it has been found that doctors are being forced to hand out birth control as they want keep down the percentage of teenage pregnancys and population .
