A female United States age 30-35, anonymous writes:

Hi. I'm 17 and I work at a fastfood place and my dating life is in shambles. I meet this African guy that I work with he's from west Africa and at first he would always look at me, smile and talk to me so I thought he liked me but at the time I never brought it to his attention then I stared texting him just about general stuff like school and work then I asked him if I could call him and he said yes we talked still about general stuff and I told him I gotta walk to work and HE OFFERED TO GIVE ME A RIDE. Then the next day I called him we still talked about General stuff and we were kidding around and he said of anyone talks about his GF he would choke them. And this whole time I didn't know he had a gf. When I got finished talking to him I wanted to cry. Becaue I really liked him but he's taken. It seems like evey guy I meet has a gf. Why can't I just find a nice guy with no gf?

A male reader, anonymous, writes (23 March 2011):

You are right you won't get good by trying but I suggest you don't try to get someone otherwise you will face similar situation everywhere, it is good he was open about his old relationship, how about those who don't even be open and later when the partner finds it and will cry more then what you are crying. And now you are also in his place if someone finds, you had little relationship with someone then the new one of your guy will also face similar thing. So I suggest not to try and fall in trouble because good one will come by itself but not by trying (I believe)
