A female Ireland age 51-59, *illy Molly Mandy writes:

My boyfriend of 7 years has asked a fellow dog walker to join us on out regular Fri night going out.

I have chatted with her and had coffee and she knows we are girlfriend and boyfriend.

So why did my Boyfriend ask her to come along for our regular Friday night out?

Ok I am no oil painting. But she is like a big farmer.

And I feel sure that they have known each other for a few years.

I think they are platonic friends. But who knows?

I am miffed about his decision.

So how should I handle my feelings about this?

You just handle it like you would if he'd asked any other friend to join you on a night out.

I see nothing to be worried about here. Sounds like you get on with her and think she's nice, maybe he just wanted you to have a girly friend to join you.

If you want this to just be the two of you as a sort of date night then just tell him that. But surely having a friend join you is no big deal, who knows OP it may even be great craic to have her there. She may be a lot of fun on a night out.

Try and stay open minded and see how it goes.
