He was showing his son and I little black spots that seem to be appearing out of nowhere in his bathroom and we have no idea what it is etc...," I innocently and jokingly said did someone die here?" Obviously is a joke since he built his own house from ground up and is only a year old. My boyfriend than got super angry because I made that joke, Said, " you are soooo stupid", which then his son laughed. I privately, in his bedroom, told my boyfriend that it was so low and rude for him to of had called me that way in front of his son, it's demeaning to me and disrespectful, he then loudly reacted that I shouldn't of had said that, that his son could get afraid, that I am in the wrong etc.., and I was like are you kidding, your son is 18 years old, we are all adults here and it was an obvious joke. So I left his house since he wouldn't realize that he was being unreasonable, haven't spoken to him for two days, nor has he called. Can anyone please give me his/her opinion on this matter?

Well...if there was a weird spot or scent in your house and someone asked your same question I am pretty sure you would not find it amusing. At least the relationship isn't completely boring after 9 years.

Presumably you've known his son for nearly half of his son's life? There's something missing here. Why does it seem like a fairly new relationship's dynamic, if you've been together for so long?
