I have been with my b/f for a year, he has been living in portugal for his job, I still live in the uk, but it was quite easy to spend time together. However he is now moving to Cairo, better job and money, which is the reason he is going. I miss him terribly when he isn't here, I said good bye to him today and won't be seeing him till christmas, and I was crying for ages, I still feel so upset. Just wondered did anyone have any experience of a similar relationship? and how did they cope? I really don't want to split, but I can't keep feeling this way. HELP, please

Is he going to stay abroad permanently? If so you have to make some changes. You either stay together have phone sex, send mail and have the odd meeting : Or move over there to be together. I'm sure you can find a way. It is very hard to have a serious committed relationship when you never see each other. Only time will tell.
