I've told him but he keeps reassuring me that it's 'not a real date' but I still don't want him to. He knows I get jealous really easily but he still does things like this. How can I ask him to not take her?

SleeplessLullaby is verified as being by the original poster of the questionThank you all so much for your answers. I've made him promise that if he goes he goes with his friend, not this girl. However, he hasn't told this girl that he won't go with her yet and I feel like if I'm asking him about it all the time I'm being too clingy. I think I was angry because he's never really taken me on a proper one-on-one date before and just because he isn't allowed to take me to the prom is no excuse to take someone who I don't know and therefore can't trust. x x

He doesn't need to bring a date. They can just go to the dance. If they're friends they can enjoy the night together and tell him it would be nice if he brought you to dinner before or after or make a special date with you.

If you guys have admitted to calling each other boyfriend and girlfriend, then this is not acceptable. I don't care if it isn't "a real date," this isn't right. Talk to him about it.
