Things have been fairly casual between us as we both have been really busy with work but everytime we are together we have a great time and I really thought this would have been a lasting relationship, even though we never really spoke about it.We have said we will definitely keep in touch and I will definitely visit him, but with his new job and new life I understand that he will eventually move on, however it is harder for me as Im left here without him.Does anyone have advice on how I can say goodbye, even by note or card, letting him know how much of an impact he has made on my life without getting too soppy or sounding like a bunny boiler. The best I can come up with is 'best of luck, i'll miss you lots, keep in touch' or something equally lame!

If he meant that much to you, you might have to get mushy. Afterall, he deserves to know how much of an impact he had, so just write from the heart.
