 I think Dragonette is right on. Instigating will be easy (unless your boyfriend is really dense and not getting the hints). I think all you have to do is sometime when you're chatting online, tell him that you miss him and if he were there with you, you would (_________) (fill in the blank with any naughty thing you want to). To start things up, say things like, "I can't wait until you come home so we can (_______)" or, "It makes me hot when I think of (___that thing you do in the bedroom__)"
If he's really not getting it, I think, "God, I really want to have sex with you right now!! Can't do it in person, but I think that cyber encounters might do the trick. Game?"

 How about telling him that you're missing him a lot and that you keep thinking about all the naughty things you will do with him when he comes back. You can just imagine how he will... Well, you get the point. It's really all about sharing fantasies. If you don't quite know what to write, you can always read a couple of hot short stories on the internet and keep them in the back of your head during the conversation.
