I looked horrified and said what :| and he didnt deny it just apologised immediatley and repetedly, i wouldnt talk to him for a while, i just layed with my back to him in scilence... I eventualy gave in and decided he was sorry, he cried :(I genuniely believe he said it by mistake out of trying hard not to say the wrong thing... if that makes sense, but i dont know if i should be more worried or upset about it...Any ideas?

U were justified in finding this upsetting initialy but having been in the same situation with my boyfriend only I was the one who used my ex's name,
I realise it was only as I was finally coming to terms with the past relationship ending & accepting my new boyfriend as the new & separate entity that created the name slip, my very thought at the time was 'I could never have spoken to my ex about this type of thing'! So perhaps you should see it as a positive sign after all! For the fact that your boyfriend was genuinely sorry says all you need to know about how he feels for you!

Dont worry about it. if it happens often then yeah you have something to worry about. however she is his ex so they probably did the same thing and he got reminded of it sub-consciously.dont worryx

It's understandable for you to be upset, if he makes that mistake repeatedly, but if it's just every once in awhile, I don't think there is much substance for worry.

It hurts yeah but usually its something anyone can't help...its like in their subconscious. If..you want to stay worried or upset it's rly up to you...just forgive and forget.
Good Luck ^^
