writes: Hi,My new boyfriend (of 4 months now) told me at the weekend that he had fallen out with one of his best mates. Apparently when they were out last week his mate was saying that he is only going out with me cos im the only person who wants him and will sleep with him. And that our relationship isnt worth anything other than sex and basically that im not good enough for him.I got quite upset about this, cos i have met his mate a couple of times and thought he was a nice guy. My chap said that he was just jealous and couldnt have been further from the truth, but I still feel bad. It hit my weak spot, as i do worry that he is only going out with me because im the first person he has met for a long time and that he is just using me. I have been used in the past several times, and whilst my chap has done nothing to make me think this at all i still worry. I got upset when he told me which then upset him too. How do I know that he wont turn round in a few months time and tell me that he was just using me, and how do i act when i see this friend of his again?

ask yourself, does he treat you innately good? does it bother you that he likes your company ... even if you're the only female company he might have had in a while?
if he does, what difference does it make if there's some sex in it, you enjoy the sex don't you?
