reader, anonymous, writes (2 February 2007): firstly, your 14...what the hell are you doing drinking? its illegal,dangerous (especially around older boys who are only giving you drink for one reason) and irresponsible in regards to your health.
secondly, your young and shouldnt be taking relationships seriously. leave the sex and love to the older people. i know you want to experiment but dont do it when in 'puppy love' you'll regret it.
pick a lad your own age, i know 14yo boys are immature and you feel you dont connect, but older men are just the same with the added bonus that theyll just use you for sex. do you want to be used?.
wait till your older for sex, its a special gift not a toy.

 Yes. First thing, don't drink- you're too young to be getting drunk at parties. I fully believe in drinking a bit at home to get used to it before you're 18 but getting drunk as early as you are is destructive behaviour. Secondly ask yourself if being with your boyfriend is what you really want. You're young- if you want to go to parties and get off with guys you don't even know then that's fine but it's not fine when you have a boyfriend. You can't have it both ways. You need to make a decision.
